Canada

  • Canada is the second largest country in land mass after Russia. Land area: 9,984,670 square miles.
  • Population: 33.5 million; Capital: Ottawa, Ontario.
  • Generally conservative business and lending practices resulting in less volatile economic climate especially notable in this current period of extreme turbulence.
  • Stable banking system (only G7 Country without a bailout).
  • Limited exposure to sub-prime lending.
  • No extensive real estate bubble.
  • The diverse nature of the country’s geography is rich in mineral deposits as well as sedimentary resources such as potash, coal, and oil & gas.

Saskatchewan

  • Located in the central prairie region of Canada, bordering on Alberta’s east side.
  • Population: 1 million; Capital: Regina, Saskatchewan.
  • Oil & gas potential in the Southern half of the Province is virtually endless spanning from the Alberta border (West) to the Bakken oil formation in South Eastern Saskatchewan.
